Is there a particular quote or scene that is memorable? Why? a memerobale moment was after Mia had gotten out of her rehab for her brithday , to spend time with family and friedn and she was able to do that because how far she had made it inn their program. When she was having a birthday party and invited friends she felt very discluded and akward because she was farther phycologicly advance from the trauma and abuses she experinced in the past compaired to her peers who were more socially advance unlike Mia becuase she was sheltered in rehab not living her like like a ‘ normal teenager” being away from family and friends feeling left out and forgotten becuase she can not relate.

Are the characters or plot reminding you of anything in your life? the real life perspective of Mia shows mulitple perspective of an addicts mindset and emotions , others wanting her to get sober but she didnt , withdrawls , recovery and how the world persives her, there is many people who have delt with addiction and to understand how they talk and feel for why makes more sense due to this book showing Mia through the good and bad and the traumua leading up too. This current day and age theres alot of drug users and Mia is writting about her experince through the intierty of it to show why not to choose drugs and how she got better .
connection of hysteria to EPS 5 limtwn
the big idea of hysteria in episode 5 is the over whelming differences of situations in the recording it shows the idea of these people in lime town being split apart from the abilities to telecommunicate and not being able to made a large hysterical difference for the people in the town , People at first who didnt have the chip felt lucky and grateful that they were not the test genuine pigs for the experiment but after a while these people had grown jealous and hysteric about them not having a chip because they realized that the people who were chipped were able to communicate in ways that others cant. Those who were apart of the old school grew very hysteric about the situation wondering why they were not good enough for the chip , showing that they don’t feel like they did in the beginning they felt they had been missing out on conversations and ques others who had a chip were able to display.
hysteria lead to the panic because Max’s ex wife had made a group called the old school to be there for each other ( after , she’d be implanted with a chip ) a member took it too far and found out she had a chip , the member spence being hysteric over the situation that she could have explained. Him feeling an overwhelming amount of betrayal causing a riot and tons of fights.

Discuss the characters. Whom do you like? dislike? Are the characters true to their natures? Have you learned anything from them?:
in the non fiction book come back by Mia and Claire Fontaine, there is many character in their story . Characters i like would be Mia, mike and other people within the rehab she is staying at , Mike is a councler always willing to give her good advice and always helps her get through things without making her feel belittled and being hinest with her , Mia is the main character in her book about her own struggle with addiction, sexual assult , and goign through treatment being open in her writting about the terrible things that has happend to her and the horrible things she has done to other , Her being able to be honest with herself and accept what she has done makes me like her as a character and a writter because she was honest and willing to learn .
i do not like both her mom claire and her father nick , for the reasoning of that her mother claire afterwards while mia was in rehab she went to some councling groups to try and get help to understand why her daughter was the way she was but being extremely worrided about what she was going to do while her daughter asll she was tryign to do was prove herself to her mom and step dad but they would always second geuss her and act like she would start using again . The character nick is an intaginste in this storry he did disgusting vile things to his own daughter and put his daughter through all of her hardships of falling into addiction , running away and the sexual abuse.
Are the characters or plot reminding you of anything in your life?: yes I can relate to some of the thoughts and feelings mia has throughout the intire book but expecialy in the end when she is in rehab trying to better . I can relate to Mia through abuse and family around me and her thoughts and logic going through each thing , understanding her point of veiw but also in the book receiving her mothers perspective on how she saw and understood the situation .

come back coming of age and hope
i have been reading Comeback a non fiction novel by mother and daughter Claire Fontaine & Mia fontaine convaying mia’s real struggles over coming her sexual abuse of being molested by her father and raped by peopel she trusted while on drugs , an active drug addiction as a teen trying to run away and flee her mother and step father. Claire realizing these issues sends her to sevral in treatment rehab facility but making sevral attempts of running away from them and building a negitive reputation of being a runner and non flexible ,being sent to a place in the czech republic for 18 months . After being in that facility for a while people in the rehab lied and had the facility closed down , Mia so far in her reabilitation being sent to a mountain camp/ rehab to continue her treatmeant bringing hope into her mother and step fathers eyes.
projecting the big idea of mia is coming of age in the book going through these experinces in a first persective seeing how she felt durring the processes and understanding her personal susesses and the idea of hope from her mothers perspective learing what she did , sending letters with her daughter and trying to change for the better .
What does this chapter say about fathers ?
This chapter shows that relationship were a cycle , his fathers dad treated him very poorly making him feel bad about himself . Zits dad showed himself to be scared of what he could do and that he didn’t want that to happen almost like he was afraid of himself
why would he have that memory and how did it effect his disision , it showed what had happen to him and how he felt and he left because he felt as if he was going to act like his father and instead not be a father and be aroud to do those things because he didnt want to hurt him but doesnt realize leaving him effected him
because of those choices showed up in zits life : zits self esteem and anger echoed from his dad not being confident in abilitys and how they feel or look . his anger showed because him and his dad both reject help to feel stronger then looking weak accpting help
how many books have been challenged in the past do you think you have read : I feel as if I have read many books but am unable to give an estimated total because a lot of books seem to get challenged even picture books for small children to biography or nonfiction noviles seem to get challenged. Reading mature content and graphic things may give reasons to challenge some books trying to avoid people being triggered or offended because of words, images or phrases that could have been acceptable at that time period and seen as ok.
what are the reasons books are challenged: The reasons books are challenged is because someone believes that, that book is unfit, inappropriate for readers, and should be taken off of shelves to protect the people those who read
what are the different reasons why flight could be controversial: the teenage perspective of coming to age shows things how Zits talks, and thinks, and the imagery in his head could be controversial but throughout the book, he becomes more mature going through these other walks of life
what are issues in the book that are issues for teens today: zit deals with loneliness , trying to find his identity, insecurity , family problems , emotions , violence, trauma
what in zits life has made him a controversial person, are those things willed with controversy: trauma, abandonment, loneliness, anger, violence, thoughts, actions, words.

what books have your read/ been expose to that shouldnt be accsesible to teens/ kids ?
Friday, Sept .27
I feel that there is none that should not be accessible because everyone’s maturity ranges are different and if you believe you are able to handle reading something mature or inappropriate you can read it and you end up not liking it and feeling like it’s too much for you or you don’t like it, you are able to stop reading that book, it’s about self-control you shouldn’t force yourself to read a book you don’t like or it doesn’t relate to your interest . content limits should exist because I believe that a young kid shouldn’t read a book that’s not suggested to their age range, that is for a reason.
adults may feel like some books are inappropriate and have issues with them like what inlays in a child’s book, adults want to protect their children from things they don’t need to deal with things like sexuality, racism, sexism, and fascism, adults don’t want children growing up thinking beyond things they should and want to preserve their childhood. Some authors like Doctor Suesse’s books were taken off shelves for some of those reasons.
